Paying the Price

Resisting the demands of the powers that be during these times comes at a cost. We will endure hard times, and we will suffer hardship. We must withstand the storm. Not many will understand why we stand our ground. They will tell us the position we’ve taken is not worth the price. Some will wish us the best of luck as they surrender to the demands of this world. There will be sympathizers, but very few will stand on the front line with us. Understand this, we are on a mission. We are facing the present struggles as a hardened few because those of lesser strength have already been subdued. In the old world, we were all normal people who went about our lives and wanting only to be left to live in peace. The time to move on to the next phase has come. This is our time, this our fight. So long as we remain steadfast, God will demonstrate his power and deliver us today just as he delivered the people of yesterday.

1st Corinthians 2:4-5 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power.

As we fight this battle, there is a lesson for us to learn, rely on the power of God and God alone. There is no man we can turn to for help, only God can help us. We must seek his help, his guidance, and his protection. The people in our lives, and even the strangers around us in society, are vessels. God controls everything and every interaction we have is with his permission and will facilitate his will. Analyze these interactions, reflect on them, and listen to what God is telling you. Lawyers are not our salvation, although God may call them to our service when he sees fit.

1st Corinthians 2:14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

We must not overexert ourselves trying to explain ourselves to those who are not called to this fight as we are. This is warfare and there will be casualties. We will suffer, people that we know will suffer, but obedience to God is the only way to survive. Understand that those without faith will view our conviction as foolishness. As we try to explain our convictions to our friends and family, they will not understand us. Employers will dismiss them in favor of policy and separate us.

1st Corinthians 2:6 We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

1st Corinthians 2:15 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgment:

As family, friends, employers, and society dismiss our convictions, do not be discouraged. This is all verification of what was written, we knew this would happen. Do not fight to remain a part of something that is coming to nothing. The decision of the rulers of this age mean nothing, they can not take from us what God has determined we will have and they can not give us what is not God’s will. Stay strong, keep the faith, and take action.
